we will catch up soon!

we arrived back in colorado at 3:30 a.m. on saturday, caught a couple of hours of sleep, then i was back to work on sat night. we have tons to catch up on, but it may take me a couple of days to catch up on things around here (including working another shift tonight!) before i can post.

in somewhat devastating news i do not have many photos to post. the photographer i had arranged to take the family portraits (which involved sooooo much work and planning) fell through at literally the very last minute. and yes, tears were shed (only by me....i was the one who had done all the planning/coordinating). then to make matters worse since everyone was already all dressed up so i busted out my fancy pants nikon and made everyone pose for my amateur shots, only to discover when i opened them on the computer that my lens is broken and was not focusing at all!

so that is the bad news. the rest of the trip was phenomenal. the girls were angels in the car for the 40+ hours we drove over the last 2 weeks.
