Happy Father's Day!!!!

We are so thankful today for the opportunity to recognize our awesome dads! Thanks for all you do, and for the example you have been to us!!!!

It is also a great day to say "we love you!" to Cris :) What a wild ride it has been the last two years. Cris eased right into being Daddy to two little girls pretty much at the same time, and it has been amazing to watch these girls love their dad. I absolutely love watching Cris with June-bug and Nova. I love it when he is the only dad climbing in the crazy net tunnel at sea world, and the only dad who doesn't hesitate to climb in the jungle gym at McDonald's :) There are very few men who could spend an entire year as the primary care giver to two toddlers and not lose their minds....and Cris is one of those guys. I am amazed at his willingness to put his career on hold, and play full time Daddy to his little girls. Without a doubt this has played a huge role in their happiness and development this year, and i am so thankful that in the midst of our crazy lives and moving and traveling all over the place, these girls have their dad 24/7.

Well, on to some pictures of our weekend....
Yesterday i let the girls make their own "cold stone" ice creams, with any mix-ins they wanted...here is Juneau's creation.
Yesterday headed down to Royal Gorge for some fun. The girls had a fantastic time exploring all the attractions. Here they are getting ready to ride the incline railway down into the valley.

After we checked out the valley, we headed back up to the bridge. Juneau was amazed at the view from over the side of the bridge. Cris then showed her that if she got down and looked through the cracks in the wood she could see how high we were....she loved it!

I'm not sure Juneau really grasped the technique....but she still had fun nova concentrating hard on the task at hand. you can tell because she is sticking her tongue out (just like her daddy at that age!)

this is Rocky...he was probably the highlight of the day. The girls LOVED getting to ride a real horse. Juneau kept saying "he's not even pretend! he's real!"

The girls love Merry-Go-Rounds! We had tons of fun today hanging out with the Goods. I can't believe i forgot my camera, but hopefully Laurie will have some pics to post later. We transformed their cute neighborhood into Trailer Park Central with the giant inflatable waterslide we set up on their sidewalk in the front yard. It only got better when Jackson decided to strip naked to enjoy the waterslide in the buff :) We then headed over to the little town of Evergreen to enjoy the Rodeo.

I'll finish this post with a classic Juneau story. Nova is prone to getting tummy aches, and a lot of times if she says her tummy hurts i will tell give her a suggestion for something to make her tummy feel better (taking a drink, or getting a snack). We were over at our neighbors house yesterday, and juneau wanted to jump on the trampoline. When i told her to wait a little while she said "but my tummy is hurting, and jumping on the bouncing ring will make it feel better".
