well, it's been a couple of days since the big homecoming! The pictures and video on the last post really say it all....it was an amazing and wonderful day! Since meeting up in columbus (i actually flew into dayton, and got a very quick little hello with Karen, Denny, and Mammaw Nova before driving to Columbus to meet up with Cris and the girls...thanks for meeting up with us and running the camera/video Aunt Donova!) we have been doing some serious traveling!
Juneau has always slept in a completely sprawled out position. if you ever travel with us, be sure to call "not it" for sleeping with Juneau!
We finally made it down to Sweet Briar, Virginia for Betsy's college graduation! We were very proud of our Magna Cum Laude graduate!! We couldn't make it up to Boston to watch Drew graduate from college because it was the same day!! but congratulations to Drew for an awesome job as well!
Enjoying the day on the beautiful Sweet Briar Campus

after graduation Aunt Cheryl was brave enough to take the WHOLE gang to her favorite restaurant....which just so happens to be in the small town where she works. i am sure the ruckus we created was the talk of Timken on Monday morning. We tried to convince her to take the gang on a quick tour of the plant :) i am sure it would have raised some eyebrows when Aunt Cheryl walked in with the whole slew of us in tow!
Juneau and Nova finally got to meet their awesome cousins, Andy and Izzie!! Juneau and Izzie hit it right off, and played for forever around campus.

Aunt Cheryl's normally quiet little living room...a bit overrun with kids and toys
We headed on towards our vacation destination of Williamsburg, but had a quick overnight stay in a hotel on the way. I LOVED snuggling up in bed and telling the girls a story before we all fell asleep.
We made it to Williamsburg, and met up with nearly the whole gang (we are missing Uncle Kyle!). The girls loved playing in the little nearby playground.
I had NO idea that the vacation plans involved celebrating EVERY holiday i missed while i was deployed!!!! I was surprised on Monday morning to arrive at my parents condo which was totally decked out in christmas decorations....they even had a wreath on the door, and a natvivity set! How cool is that??!!!
The girls tried out the traditional Afghani outfitis i brought home for them
then we hit the park for some more fun
Nova is always up for a good snuggle

The next day we FINALLY celebrated Nova's Third Birthday! her favorite present was a much anticipated Turkey Baster!! Juneau and Nova had first discovered the Turkey Baster at the Hale Koa Pool when they went there with Grandma Saccenti. They played with another kid's pool toys, one of which was a turkey baster. They have been talking about getting a turkey baster since that deay at the pool. They had told me at least 10 times that nova was going to get a turkey baster for her birthday. She was SUPER excited when she opened her presents adn did indeed have a Turkey Baster from Grammie.
Juneau was super excited to get her own turkey baster.
Nova loved her little kick board
Jbug was pretty excited about hers as welll!
Nova was happy to finally get to blow out her candle!!

the aunties
Uncle Gerry and Aunt ToniJo drove up to visit and to enjoy "Christmas" dinner :) It was so nice to be able to enjoy spending some time with them!
As you can see, the Turkey Basters were a big hit!

This morning we celebrated Valentine's day (i will have to post those pictures tomorrow isnce i forgot my camera and will have to borrow some of my sister's pics). After nap time we headed down to the park to celebrate "Bug Day" with Juneau. The anniversary of her actual adoption day isn't until July, but we decided to go ahead and take this opportunity to celebrate this special day while we were surrounded by family.
Kaleb! (notice the color scheme of the super awesome playround t the resort!)

Aunt Becky had some super cool activities planned for Bug Day...Juneau loved her new bug collecting kit, and we all had so muhc fun on the "Bug Hunt"! We loved taking a few minutes to sit down and watch Juneau's adoption video, and think about an incredibly special time for our family.
I guess that wraps up the last 4 days! each day has been JAM PACKED with tons of fun! Everyone has readjusted to having mom home, and it has been AWESOME! I feel so blessed to get to be a mom to these 2 amazing girls!!!!
