Daddy Day !!

Today has been a big day for Nova. Mommy is on call today so she is spending the day with daddy all day, including a whole night with bottled milk (for the first time).

The day started out with Nova's 2 month check-up which meant her first set of shots. You can see that she did NOT enjoy it. She weighed in at 11 lb 5 oz. today.

We are getting close to the beginning of all the craziness. Emilie leaves in a little under 48 hours and I am not looking forward to it. On top of all that is my PhD defense coming up, going to Vietnam, bringing Juneau home...it's going to be a wild 2 months.

The Hawaii Stickley's could use your prayers for the following:

1. I'll be honest, it's going to be really tough for me to be away from Emilie and my little girl

2. My dissertation defense to go well

3. Emilie's rotation in Michigan is going to be difficult - long hours, high stress, etc. We are so thankful though that Emilie's mom will be there for Nova the whole time.

4. A smooth trip to Vietnam and back and smooth processing of our paperwork while we are there.

5. I am anxious about Juneau's adjustment to me. Please pray for her that she will be able to bond quickly to her daddy. Also pray for my parents as they accompany me to Vietnam. It will be tough for them I know to have to limit their involvement a bit with Juneau so that she doesn't have any confusion in bonding.

Thanks to everyone who has followed along on this ride and we appreciate your continued prayers and support as we enter the home stretch of getting Juneau home to her family.

Summit is going to miss Nova too while she's in Michigan
