The week is off to a busy start. I had a very full day at work and ended up stuck in my office until well after the start of traffic which meant a slow commute home. The girls had just gotten up from nap when I got home at 4:00 and I got greeted by two huge smiles and monster hugs.
We spent the evening playing with Flarp, reading stories from their favorite new Toy Story book from Aunt D. and cuddling on the couch.
Earlier in the day, Nelson caught the girls doing this:
Nova is potty trained (a major one) and is no longer the baby she was when Emilie left.
Within the last couple of weeks, Juneau has figured out how to say very clear "L" sounds and stopped saying "r" or "w" sounds in their place. I was noticing tonight how much older it makes her sound with her "all grown-up" speech now.
Tomorrow is my LOOONG teaching day so I won't get a ton of time with my girls tomorrow night either but after this busy week gets through, then one more busy week (and full weekend working an anatomy seminar) and then it's Spring Break!!! After that it won't be too long until Aunt Becky, Grandma Saccenti and Aunt Coral come for visits which will mean we are seriously getting close to seeing mommy again!!
Still no official word on where the whole family will be living come next fall but unfortunately there are a couple things that are making us concerned that the answer to that question will be "not in the same state" so keep praying that our concerns will end up being unfounded.
